Dr Zahid Latif 

Author, PhD Diplomacy

Dr. Zahid Latif is a distinguished scholar of global politics with multiple master’s degrees, an MPhil with the Chancellor’s Gold Medal, and a doctorate in diplomacy from Peking University. 

He has served as faculty at National Defence University, Pakistan, held senior bureaucratic roles including Federal Secretary (Defence Production), and retired as a Lieutenant General in the Pakistan Army. 

His research focuses on South Asia’s peace and conflict dynamics, Pak-Afghan relations, Pakistan’s foreign policy, CPEC, security strategy, and conflict resolution. Dr. Latif has lectured internationally and published widely in academic journals.

"Pakistan’s Search for Peace with Afghanistan Statecraft, Policy and Strategy", is the first ever book written by a three star general, who is also a freelance scholar. Author is a witness to regional events which unfolded after 9/11 with first hand experience of working in Headquarters US CENTCOM, Tampa, Florida and as a commanding general in Balochistan which shares a long border with Afghanistan .

As the founder of Kafe Kaam, she is a podcaster, author, poet, activist, and mentor. Known for her work in women’s rights and social development, she empowers marginalized youth and women through leadership and advocacy, making her a key voice for equality and inclusion.
